Nala, Vancouver’s much loved baby beluga, died Monday 10:15pm, the Vancouver Aquarium announced Tuesday.
An animal autopsy indicates two marble-sized rocks and a coin inflamed a “pocket-like growth” blocked her air passage.
Nala was an “energetic and curious” calf, who interacted closely with her playmate Tiqa, the aquarium’s oldest calf.
This was a video I took last month when I visited the Vancouver Aquarium.
