I can’t rave enough about the Coldplay concert at Rogers Arena.
Chris Martin, the band’s chemistry, and energy was unbelievable.

Spain put on a great show last night at English Bay. I’m glad we went early because there was an awesome airplane exhibition AND by 8pm it was just crazy busy at the beach.
I didn’t bring my dslr last night so I did not even bother to take photos of the fireworks. I did find this post that had a timelapse of the fireworks, which you can see here.
There’s been an outpouring of support for the City of Vancouver after the riot. “VANLOVER” stickers appeared on shop windows almost overnight in Downtown and some boarded-up windows contain messages of support. Along the bus stop on Granville and West Georgia, people are hanging square-cut cloths with positive messages.
Twitter + Festival = Twestival.
Vancouver joined several cities in celebrating Twestival last March 24. The goal of this global social media fundraising movement is to raise money for a local non-profit of the participating city’s choice. Here, the one-night event was held at the Vancouver Lookout with proceeds going to Beauty Night - an organization that commits itself to improving the lives of impoverished women and youth.
YVR Twestival raised over $8,000 at the end of the night through ticket sales, a silent auction, and donations. Well done everyone!
For lack of a better term… it truly was a beautiful night.
